Finding Fortuity
The answer, my friend, is blowing in the wind

Is Me

Life is what happens while you're busy making other plans ~ John Lennon
Welcome to Finding Fortuity. I am Leslie and this is my little corner of the web.
I am a self-taught digital/photo artist with over 40 years of experience. I am continually exploring new artistic and creative avenues in which to share my art. I like to keep things fresh and interesting for everyone, including myself.
Having once delved into writing verse, my passion for poetry has been shaped by the timeless works of the great bards. Don't be surprised to see me share lyrical compositions, inspired by the beauty of language and the depth of emotion that poetry brings. I might even display a song or two from one of my favorite musician/song writer for I truly believe them to be the great bards of our time.
I also find tranquility in observing wildlife. From mischievous blue jays and majestic eagles to playful squirrels and chipmunks along with the larger deer, moose and bear who inhabit the the surrounding forest. Nature's wonders provide endless inspiration in my world.
During the winter my husband and I love the views of the crisp, cold woods and river as it all turns frosty shades of white. We feel fortunate to be warm and cozy with the fire constantly burning indoors. Snow removal and fetching wood keep us active and when we feel we need a break from the cold we simply hop in the car and take a roadtrip south. Retired life affords us the time to go when we want.
The rest of the year we enjoy our gardens. I once was completely absorbs in botanicals but since moving from city to country I find my time is mostly involved with the vegetable gardens. I still to get carried away with landscaping but I reel myself in when I find it becomes overwhelming to care for.
To sum it up, I am excited to share my thoughts and experiences with you. Living in an old forest, I feel blessed to be surrounded by the beauty of nature, which fuels my creativity and passions. Join me on this journey as we explore the wonders of life and the inspirations they bring.
All my best
Leslie
